ECAT-2000 Series EtherCAT I/O Modules

EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology) is an Ethernet-based fieldbus system, invented by Beckhoff Automation. The protocol is standardised in IEC 61158 and is suitable for both hard and soft real-time computing requirements in automation technology.

EtherCAT applies Ethernet for automation applications that requires short data update times (also called cycle times; ≤ 100 μs) with low communication jitter (for precise synchronisation purposes; ≤ 1 μs) and reduced hardware costs.

The ICP DAS ECAT-2000 series are designed for combining sensors and actuators into EtherCAT network.

The ECAT-2000 series are compact EtherCAT I/O modules that delivers access and control of remote digital I/O, analog I/O, pulse I/O, relays and temperature sensors to an EtherCAT networks.
