Description

The ICP DAS ET-2217 is a module with either 8 differential or 16 single-ended analog inputs. The module provides a programmable input range for all Analog Input channels, including ±150 mV, ±500 mV, ±1 V, ±2.5 V, ±5 V, ±10 V, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and ±20 mA. Each analog input channel can be configured with an individual input range, providing high overvoltage protection up to 120 VDC and overcurrent protection up to 50 mA at 110 VDC/VAC. Voltage and current input can be selected via a DIP switch.

The sampling rate of the ET-2217 is adjustable and can be set to either fast mode (200Hz) or normal mode (20Hz). It can be used to record the voltage and current information. The module also features per-channel open wire detection for 4 to 20 mA input and provides 4 kV ESD/EFT protection, 2 kV Surge protection, and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation for added safety.

The ICP DAS ET-2217 module supports the MQTT protocol and can act as both a message publisher and subscriber. When connected to the MQTT Broker server, the module can publish the I/O status in real time using a topic and receive messages from subscribed topics. If the ET-2217 module becomes disconnected from the broker during communication, it has a reconnection mechanism that can automatically restore the connection. Additionally, a Keep-Alive Interval mechanism is in place to ensure a persistent connection with the Broker.

This Ethernet IO module support the SNMP V2c specification, enabling it to transmit both module and I/O information to SNMP network management equipment or software (SNMP Network Management Software), providing real-time monitoring of the ICP DAS ET-2217 status for administrators. If the Trap function is enabled, the module can send a message to the manager when there is a change in I/O status or if the module reboots, keeping track of the channel status at all times.
