Description

The ICP DAS GW-7228 is a solution that provides a protocol conversion between J1939 and Modbus RTU. On the J1939 network side, the GW-7228 supports PDU1, PDU2, broadcast and destination specific type of J1939 messages. On the Modbus RTU network side, the GW-7228 is a Modbus RTU slave that replies to the request from the Modbus RTU master. A software utility is provided to enable users to seamlessly configure the J1939 and Modbus RTU parameters on the GW-7228 module for easy integration with applications.

The ICP DAS GW-7228 module has been (proven) used in industrial applications such as diesel power-train, in-vehicle network for trucks and buses etc
