The EMP-2848 compact EtherCAT Master programmable automation controller (PAC) now available
The ICP DAS EMP-2848M is a SoftPLC based EtherCAT Master that is integrated with multi-axis motion control Kernel. The EMP-2848M combines compact size design, software flexibility and excellent performance, which makes it an ideal solution for motion control applications where space is at a premium.
This compact programmable controller is equipped with a high-performance quad-core Cortex-A53 processor with Real-Time Linux (RT-Preempt) operating system. The built-in SoftPLC feature enables fast, deterministic and real-time functions in motion control applications.
The EMP-2848M controller can be easily integrated with 3rd party EtherCAT slave devices including I/O modules, servo motors, stepper motors and encoders. This EtherCAT master can synchronously update up to 128 slave devices within a cycle time of 500 microseconds.
