Multi-access edge computing (MEC), also referred to mobile edge computing, is an ETSI-defined network architecture concept that enables cloud computing capabilities and an IT service environment at the edge of the cellular network and, more in general at the edge of any network.
The idea about MEC system is that by running applications and performing related processing tasks closer to the cellular customer, network congestion is reduced, and applications perform better. MEC technology is designed to be implemented at the cellular base stations or other edge nodes and enables flexible and rapid deployment of new applications and services for customers.
Embedding elements of information technology and telecommunications networking, MEC allows cellular users to open their radio access network (RAN) to authorised third parties including application developers and engineers.
The JHCTECH BRAV-7131/S001 is equipped with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB module, 8 cores ARM CPU and high-performance GPU, up to 200TOPS AI performance, onboard 32 memory and 64G storage, multichannel IO and clock synchronisation and also with DC 9-36V wide voltage power supply. The BRAV-7131/S001 can be used as MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) for intelligent transportation, machine vision, intelligent logistics and other industries.
