Media Converter with Redundant Ring and Fast Recovery for Critical Network Applications
The PLANET TSN-900-2T2S Industrial-grade Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) managed media converter features two 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and two 1G/2.5GBASE-X SFP ports in a rugged IP30 metal case for stable operation in harsh environments, and designed for all types of industrial automation network, from Fieldbus to factory backbone.
The TSN-900-2T2S guarantees end-to-end transmission of high-priority traffic with extremely low latency. With two dual-speed SFP fiber slots, it can be flexibly applied to extend the connection distance.
It provides real-time, low-latency network communication for industrial automation, 5G NR networks, Industry 4.0, 4K/8K video streaming, and VR/AR gaming industry by using the Time-sensitive Networking (TSN) technology and IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTPv2) for time synchronization on all ports.
The TSN-900-2T2S also support redundant ring technology and features strong, rapid self-recovery capability to prevent interruptions and external intrusions. This managed media converter incorporates advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology, Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s MSTP), and redundant power input system into customer’s industrial automation network to enhance system reliability and uptime in harsh factory environments. In a simple ring network, the recovery time of data link can be as fast as 10ms.
This media converter can be installed in any environment, as it can operate reliably under the temperature range from -40 to 75°C, and also allows either DIN-rail or wall mounting for efficient use of cabinet space.
